Good Vibes Sesame Oil: Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

Today I am going to review Good Vibes Sesame Oil that I have been using for quite sometime now, as and when required. It isn’t something that I have been using regularly, so a 50 ml bottle has lasted quite a few months. For a weekly nourishing oil blend, a few drops quickly rubbed on wet skin post-shower when I’m running out of my body oil or for an occasional make-up removing spree- that pretty well summarizes my use of Good Vibes sesame oil! Check out my review here in this post.

  • For Skin Sesame oil acts like a sunscreen and helps to remove damaged skin cells
  • It is also easily absorbed into the skin making it smooth and soft
  • The oil is highly effective in reducing the signs of ageing
  • For Hair Sesame oil moisturizes the scalp and helps prevent the occurrence of dandruff and lice
  • It conditions the hair right from the root & makes it vibrant and silky
  • The oil is rich in nutrients which help to prevent premature greying
  • Sesame oil also helps in healing cracked heels”

Priced at Rs 115 for 50 ml, this light yellow-coloured oil with a runny consistency comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a screw cap and a plastic shield for extra protection from spillage. Packaging is basic and it comes with a label with all the required information printed on it.

While it is suitable for use on skin as well as hair, I find it heavy for my oily skin, so I generally refrain from using it on my face. It works well as a body oil, especially if you can add a few drops of your favourite aromatic essential oil. Its smell has a nut-like/ seed-like flavour to it. I like using it for my hair, especially when I am making an oil blend for massaging my scalp with. It can easily be mixed with other oils like coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil and used as hair oil.
