Whatever the reason may be, blackheads certainly look unpleasant on the skin. So why not try removing it with easy homemade remedies? In fact you can easily try using lemon juice for removing blackheads. It’s one of the most commonly found items in your kitchen basket. Try using lemons to treat blackheads naturally.

TOP THREE LEMON FACE PACKS TO TREAT BLACKHEADS

1.LEMON- YOGHURT PACK FOR BLACKHEADS

Mix the freshly extracted juice of a lemon with ½ tbsp yoghurt, ½ tbsp honey and some salt. Apply this concoction on face, focussing on the areas prone to blackheads. Scrub for around 3 minutes and let it sit for another 2 minutes. Wash off with water. Do it daily to see a marked difference.

Why is this pack effective?

While lemon helps clear the clogged pores, salt exfoliates the skin and removes dirt, oil and dead cells. This pack has anti-bacterial properties that not only imparts clear skin but also makes the skin glowing.

2.LEMON-OATMEAL PACK FOR BLACKHEADS

Mix 2 tsp lemon juice with a tbsp yoghurt and 2 tbsp oatmeal; if the paste is hard and difficult to apply on face, consider adding some warm water. Apply on the face and wait for around 15 minutes. Scrub off while rinsing the face with water. This pack should be used on a regular basis for best results.

Why is this pack effective?

Citric acid contained in lemon juice helps fight blackheads while oatmeal exfoliates the skin effectively to do away with grime and impurities that clog the facial pores.

3.LEMON-EGG WHITE PACK FOR BLACKHEADS

Mix a tbsp lemon juice with egg white (of one egg) and stir vigorously to make a smooth mixture. Apply the mixture on your face and wait for it to dry completely. Remove the mask (try pulling it away like a peel-off mask). Do this treatment twice a week for best results.

Why is this pack effective?

While lemon juice has acids that help remove blackheads, egg white is effective in treating skin discoloration and provides essential nutrients to the skin. To make the most of this mask, try it like a peel-off mask because if you wash it off with water, it won’t help much with your blackheads.

While you try out these easy lemon face masks for treating blackheads, make sure you drink plenty of water, get your daily dose of sleep and maintain a proper skin care routine that includes cleansing, toning and moisturising.

Note-Go for a patch-test before applying lemon juice on face, in case it doesn’t suit you please refrain from using it on skin.
