Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Hair Oil Review

Aroma Magic (by Blossom Kochhar) is a brand that I love using because it promises the benefits of essential oils in a variety of skincare and haircare products. I have oily scalp, dry hair and I often suffer from flakiness of scalp, redness and hair fall. Today I am going to review a product- Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Hair Oil, that I have been using for the last one month to address some of the hair problems that I suffer from.

Stimulate hair oil is curated to help curb hair thinning and hair fall. It is a blend of Jojoba oil and essential oils of Eucalyptus, Chamomile, and Rosemary. This blend of oils prevents hair loss, thinning, boosts shine and growth.  It makes the hair strong healthy and beautiful.

The Jojoba oil in the hair oil moisturizes the scalp and protects the hair from dryness and breakage. Jojoba oil is loaded with vitamin C, B, E, copper, and zinc, which moisturizes the hair follicles and promotes hair growth. The essential oil of Eucalyptus stimulates hair follicles, improves hair health and strengthens the hair. Chamomile essential oil adds shine and softness the hair and Rosemary essential oil improves cellular generation.

  • Stimulates hair roots & increases blood circulation
  • Prevents hair loss and thinning
  • Boosts hair growth improves shine

How much to use?

Use a coin-sized amount of hair oil.

How to use

Add a few drops to a teaspoon of water. Apply this to hair, roots & scalp every morning & night.

  • Jojoba Oil
  • Essential oils of Eucalyptus | Chamomile | Rosemary

Why is it essential?

Using hair oil for scalp massages increases the blood circulation, relaxes the nerves and stimulates hair follicles improving the strength and texture of hair.

Priced at Rs 375 for 20ml, Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Hair Oil is a transparent, light-weight blended oil that comes in a dark-blue coloured glass bottle with a twist cap. There is a hole that acts as the dispenser.

As mentioned in the ‘directions to use’ section, I mix a few drops (around 5…6 drops) in a tsp water and massage it on the scalp and hair roots. I do this whenever convenient, whether it’s post bath when the hair is partially wet, or at bedtime. I make it a point to massage the scalp with this concoction, once every day. It doesn’t make the hair oily if used as per directions. However, if you happen to pour in more amount that what’s required, it tends to make the hair oily.

Applying the oil can be tricky, considering it’s mixed with water; so it tends to trickle down easily. If you can manage applying it with finger tips, it’s fine. Else, you need to use cotton swab for application. In that case you need to increase the amount of water (and consequently the amount of oil to be combined) as cotton swabs end up absorbing a lot of product. I generally apply with my finger tips.

  • Light-weight
  • Pleasant and relaxing fragrance of blended essential oils
  • Contains the goodness of jojoba oil mixed with essential oils like eucalyptus, chamomile and rosemary
  • Soothes scalp immediately after application
  • Helps heal irritated scalp and scalp acne faster
  • Doesn’t make hair greasy and sticky
  • Economical, in the sense that a 20ml bottle lasts for 3 months easily
  • Price is reasonable if you consider the time for which the content of a bottle can be used (though at a glance 375/- for 20ml might seem a little pricey)
  • Easily available
  • Travel-friendly (considering the size of the bottle is small and there’s no spillage or leakage involved)

  • Doesn’t treat hair fall
  • No significant effect as far as hair regrowth is concerned
  • A dropper attached to the cap would be great

If you have problematic scalp and hair issues like hall fall, dandruff and scalp acne, you can give it a try. Though it may not produce overnight results, it’s something that can be used on a regular basis, without any hassle, for overall hair care. It is good for regular use as it doesn’t make hair sticky, at the same time helps address hair problems to some extent. However, I have not benefited much for my hair fall problem. So if you are looking forward to investing in this product solely for treating hair loss, you may be disappointed.

Rating would be 3.25 out of 5.

P.S. I have tried out a variety of products to treat these problems and if there’s one product that is really effective in soothing my scalp, it’s Biotique Bio Mountain Ebony Hair Serum. It’s a staple product on my shelf. Recently I have combined the use of this Biotique serum with the use of Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Hair Oil.

Note-Since this Aroma Magic product contains essential oils, it should be used under supervision / doctor’s guidance, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to any of the ingredients
