Kolkata summer days are hot and humid, the heat is scorching and the sweating is unbearable! During summer, my skin tends to break out, get rashes and is often full of acne and grease. All I want during this time is something to soothe my skin with.

This soothing translucent orange coloured gel, with a fresh citrusy fragrance, is priced at Rs 215 for 100g and comes in a brown-coloured tub with a golden screw cap.

The best way to use this gel is to use it chilled. I keep it in the refrigerator and use it on my cleansed face for an instant cooling effect. It can be used both on skin and on hair. However, the instruction is not very clear regarding how to use this gel on hair.

Since I have oily scalp prone to dandruff and scalp acne, I like applying this gel on scalp. I don’t use it chilled on scalp, else I will end up catching a bad cold. I mix the desired amount of gel with a few drops of peppermint oil and apply on scalp. It soothes itchiness and hydrates the scalp.

As far as application on face is concerned, I prefer applying the gel directly, without mixing it with any other ingredient.

FINAL WORD

Good Vibes Orange Gel is an excellent gel-based product that helps hydrate skin without making it greasy, has a fresh fragrance of oranges and can be used on skin as well as hair for reaping benefits. Though it is recommended for dry skin, it suits all skin types; mine is oily skin and it worked great for me. I would like to rate it at 4.5 out of 5.
