The Body Shop Moringa Soap: Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

This is perhaps my first review of soap here in this blog. Frankly speaking, I do not use soaps much. I love using body shower gels and body wash variants across different brands. This bar of Moringa Soap is something that I got as a part of my TBS Moringa gift set, quite some time back. It’s only recently that I have started using it. Read on to know about my experiences:

WHAT DOES THE WEBSITE CLAIM?

‘Wake up your shower with fresh bursts of floral scented moringa. Work this vegetable based bar into a rich lather for skin that feels thoroughly cleansed. Moringa seed oil will leave you feeling soft and hydrated.

  • Soap
  • Non-drying
  • Leaves skin cleansed, feeling soft & hydrated
  • Generous lather
  • Vegetable based bar
  • Seed oil from hand-picked moringa pods
  • Certified sustainable palm oil’

This yellow bar of soap with the floral fragrance of Moringa comes in a nature-friendly disposable paper packaging. The soap is soft and smooth when touched. When used on wet skin, it produces decent amount of lather .

The soap doesn’t make skin dry, but at the same time it doesn’t moisturise the skin either.

THE BODY SHOP MORINGA SOAP: PROS

  • Pleasant floral fragrance
  • Does not make skin dry
  • Lathers well
  • Cleanses well

THE BODY SHOP MORINGA SOAP: CONS

  • Price is quite high at Rs 225 for 100
  • Fragrance does not linger for long
  • Will have a drying effect if your skin is dry

FINAL WORD

The Body Shop Moringa Soap is an average soap. I would certainly love to invest in a good quality body shower gel at half the price. Rating would be 3.5 out of 5.
