Nykaa Orange Essential Oil Review

Recently I tried out quite a few essential oils from the Nykaa range and today I am going to review an oil that I am absolutely in love with. I like the fragrance and somehow it reminds me of the winters. After all, oranges are so closely associated with the cold winter months! Check out my review of Nykaa Orange Essential oil here in this post:

Priced at Rs 350 for a 10 ml bottle, Nykaa Orange Essential oil has a fresh and revitalizing aroma of oranges, a bitter-sweet smell that orange peels have but in a concentrated form. The fragrance is refreshing, whether you use it as a bath oil by adding a few drops in your bucket of water or add it to your regular body oil or hair oil before application.

I am certainly not an aromatherapy expert and whatever little information I have got isn’t from a professional’s point of view. My tips, experience and usage of orange oil is just a culmination of my research across online portals that allow one to read and learn about various essential oils.

It comes in a dark blue-coloured bottle with a dropper cap that lets you use the required amount of oil without wastage or spillage. The bottle comes in an orange-coloured cardboard box. All relevant information and instructions are clearly printed on the box.

Here are a few ways I love to use my Orange Essential oil

  • I add around 7-8 drops of orange oil to my bucket of water for a refreshing bath. It invigorates the senses and offers a lingering fragrance.
  • I add a few drops of orange oil to coconut oil or olive oil and massage my scalp with it. Adding orange oil is known to be beneficial for scalp and hair as its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe scalp, its antiseptic properties treat dandruff and vitamin C contained in it aids hair growth.
  • I have made my own homemade facial toner by adding 5-6 drops of orange oil to 75 ml rose water. Trust me, the fragrance is so pleasant and the toner is a blessing for my oily skin.
  • I add a few drops to almond oil or grapeseed oil and use it on my body. It acts as a very good massage oil that calms your senses.
  • I make a face pack once in a while by mixing a spoon of freshly extracted aloe vera gel with a couple of drops of orange oil. It is good for treating blemishes.
  • I scatter some orange oil in the kitchen sink and also bathroom floor so that it smells heavenly.

  • Affordable
  • Decent and user-friendly packaging
  • Revitalizing fragrance
  • Acts as a natural add-on for homemade toner, hair oil and body oil
  • Deodorizing properties

None that I can think of

It is an excellent oil that helps uplift your mood and invigorate your senses. Rating would be 4.75 on 5.

Note-Refrain from using this oil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby. Go for a patch test if your skin is sensitive.
