Khadi Henna And Thyme Hair Tonic Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

With an oily scalp prone to scalp acne and hair fall, I have to be very careful about choosing my hair care products. Whenever I apply oil on my scalp, it breaks out. So, as a part of my regular hair care regimen, I choose water-based products that wouldn’t make my hair look greasy, wouldn’t produce any kind of discomfort on scalp and yet impart nourishment and shine to hair. I came across Khadi Henna And Thyme Hair Tonic and I wanted to try it out instantly. Did the product live up to my claims? Check out my review here!

KHADI HENNA AND THYME HAIR TONIC: MY EXPERIENCE

This brownish hair tonic comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a black flip-open cap. A water-based tonic with texture and feel exactly like that of water, Khadi Henna And Thyme Hair Tonic claims to help revitalize hair while conditioning the scalp and hair. It also claims to stop hair fall and impart soft and shiny hair.

I apply it on dry scalp. It doesn’t make the hair and scalp greasy. It is best applied at bedtime. When applied moderately, there is no need to shampoo the next morning. While it does help in treating itchy scalp to an extent and reducing hair fall too, it doesn’t remove stubborn dandruff or treat hair loss completely.

KHADI HENNA AND THYME HAIR TONIC: PROS

  • Affordably priced at Rs 310 for 210 ml
  • Convenient packaging
  • Non-greasy formula
  • Contains natural extracts of amla, aloe vera, neem, basil and henna
  • Helps reduce itchiness of scalp
  • Helps reduce hair fall to a certain extent
  • Shelf life of 36 months
  • Paraben free

KHADI HENNA AND THYME HAIR TONIC: CONS

  • I’m not sure if it is effective in inducing hair re-growth as it claims
  • Not very effective in case of severe hair fall and stubborn dandruff
  • Herbal scent
  • It is meant for the scalp and if you want to nourish you hair, you have to use oil or hair mask separately

FINAL WORD

If you want a non-greasy formula to soothe and nourish your scalp as a part of your regular hair care regime, you can surely give this hair tonic a try. However, if you are looking for a one-stop formula that would put an end to dandruff, hair loss, premature greying and damaged hair, it might not be able to live up to your expectations. So, you can use it as a part of your hair care routine and combine its application with other things too and not solely rely on this tonic to work wonders for your hair. Overall, this tonic is an average product from the house of Khadi. Rating would be 3.25 out of 5.
