The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

Since I am addicted to shower gels, I happen to try out different brands that have shower gels on offer. Recently, I got a The Body Shop Moringa gift set from my brother and I happened to try out the Moringa shower gel (and the super-soft loofah) as a part of this shower kit.

Priced at Rs 450 for a 250 ml bottle (going by the official TBS website), this shower gel comes in a standard TBS packaging with a transparent bottle and black flip-open cap. The colour is somewhat golden yellow when in bottle, but pale yellow (just a hint of colour that is) when you pour it on the palm.

The consistency is runny, the texture being neither too thick, nor too thin, somewhat like honey. Though the fragrance isn’t very strong on senses, it is quite noticeable and it smells of moringa, which is flowery and sweet.

A dollop of Moringa shower gel on the wet loofah would produce abundant lather and impart a squeaky clean feeling. It is not at all difficult to wash off the skin. It leaves the skin hydrated and following up with a body lotion isn’t mandatory post shower. If you have very dry skin or you are using it in the winter time, you might like to use a light moisturizer.

THE BODY SHOP MORINGA SHOWER GEL PROS

  • Effective cleansing
  • Pleasant floral fragrance
  • Doesn’t rip the skin dry
  • Easy to wash off the skin
  • Sturdy packaging
  • A dollop is enough, especially when used with wet loofah

THE BODY SHOP MORINGA SHOWER GEL CONS

  • Unusual fragrance and could be overpowering for sensitive nose
  • Price is towards the higher side of the scale

FINAL WORD

A nice shower gel, certainly worth a try! Rating would be 4.75 out of 5.
