Sushi Unrolled At The Fatty Bao

For all Sushi lovers all The Fatty Bao across the country has come up with something really special “Sushi Unrolled”.From Sushi Pizza to Sushi tacos this festival happening till the 8th of April will tale your sushi experience to a different level all together.

On a nice sunny afternoon we city bloggers took our time to sample some amazing sushis and not to forget the special bottled cocktails from The Fatty Bao.

We started off with the Pizza Sushi, there are both vegeterian and non vegeterian options and that is the best part .We tried the Hybrid Vegetarian Pizza Sushi with fried asparagus, cream cheese mayo, wakame, crispy nori, avocado, mint tempura, takuan and pickled ginger topping on the sushi rice pizza base and a Cross-bred Tuna Pizza Sushi with yuzu marinated thin slices of tuna, jalapeño, cream cheese mayo, tobiko, fried capers and mustard cress.)Being a hardcore pizza lover the sushi pizza was aboslutely worth trying.Next came the Rainbow Spin Sandwich Sushi with marinated slices of vegetables with sriracha and tomato caviar. Not only did it looked colorful and picture perfect but was also extremely delicious. We tried the The Pita Pocket Sushi or Inari sushi next.It could very well be the pita pocket’s Japanese cousin. Expect sushi rice wrapped in seasoned, deep fried tofu pockets. You can try the The Progressive VegetarianPita Pocket Sushi with miso lotus root, smoked spicy tofu, cucumber and sweet potato crisp or the Fiery Shrimp Roll CrossoverPita Pocket Sushi with spicy motoyaki sauce, poached shrimp, tenkasu and cherry radish or then the The Liberal TobimayoPita Pocket Sushi with crab meat, tobiko mayo, chives, shallots, bonito flakes, avocado, crispy gari and prawn crackers.Basically there is something for everyone. Now adding on a Mexican twist to your Sushi experience came the tacos. There was Inter-house Fried Eggplant Taco Sushi with Chilli miso, cucumber, radish and fried garlic chips or Cross-bred Spicy Salmon Taco Sushi with Sriracha mayo, spicy salmon, yuzu salsa, tobiko and avocado or the Fried Fish Combo Taco Sushi with Freshly fried fish, jalapeño mayo, orange ponzu, crispy shallots and cress. My favourite was the Salmon taco and is definitely a must try if you are fond of salmon. To end the entire Sushi madness we called for the sushi rolls and the Grilled soy braised wild mushrooms and cheese Hosamaki Teriyaki Chicken & Togarashi Hosamaki, Spicy Tempura Fried Prawns Hosamaki and Cheesy B**f was right there on our tables.I loved the spicy tempura prawns and could help but call for a second helping.

To go with the sushis we did try some beautiful bottled cocktails which are The Fatty Bao signatures.I tried the Passion mule which is a combination of white rum, homemade ginger ale,,mango and passion fruit. The bottled cocktails at Fatty is definitely a must try.

The Sushi Unrolled is definitely something that you should try for a exotic and different Sushi experience.Plan a brunch with your friends over “Sushi Unrolled” and good bottled cocktails while spending quality time with your friends.
