1.GRAMFLOUR AND HEAVY CREAM BODY SCRUB

Gram flour is known for its exfoliating properties while turmeric acts as a natural skin lightening agent. Heavy cream is loaded with lactic acid that also has skin-brightening properties. To make this body scrub, first heat a saucepan and pour the heavy cream. Once the heavy cream thickens, transfer it to a bowl. Leave it aside for some time. Once it turns warm from being scathing hot, mix it with gram flour and add turmeric powder. Mix well and apply the paste on knees and elbows. Use gentle circular motions with your fingers and scrub for 10 minutes. Leave it on for 5 minutes and then wash off. Do it twice every week for nourishing and lightening darks elbows and knees.
2.GROUND ALMONDS AND YOGHURT SCRUB

Ground almonds can not only help exfoliate your skin but also nourishes it thoroughly. Mix ground almonds with yoghurt that has lactic acid with natural skin bleaching properties. Mix 2 tbsp ground almonds with 1 tbsp yoghurt to form a smooth and creamy paste. Massage this mixture for 5 minutes and do this treatment everyday to get rid of dark patches on elbows and knees.
3.SUGAR AND OLIVE OIL SCRUB

One of the easiest ways to treat dark elbows and knees is by using sugar and olive oil. This remedy works wonders especially if the dark patches are caused on account of dryness. Sugar helps remove dead cells while olive oil moisturises your skin naturally. Mix 2 tbsp sugar with 2 tbsp olive oil and use this mixture for scrubbing your darkened knees and elbows. After 5 minutes of scrubbing, wash off with lukewarm water and then follow up with moisturiser. Do this treatment twice every week for best results.
Apart from using this body scrubs, it is also equally important to keep these dry patches hydrated. Use a good quality body lotion and drink plenty of water. At the same time, do not forget your sunscreen lotion while stepping out in the sun.
