Himalaya Herbals Lemon Face Wash Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

Since I have oily skin, I invested in Himalaya Herbals Lemon Face Wash that claims to remove excess oil from skin. Priced at Rs 170 for 200 ml, this face wash with a transparent thick gel-like consistency has tiny blue beads meant for effective removal of sebum and impurities. I generally use it 2 times regularly and it is never harsh on the face.

I wet my face and apply the gel on face and work up the lather with gentle circular motions. Skin feels fresh and clean and controls oil secretion for the time being. Effects vary depending upon the season and weather conditions. For instance, Skin remains oil-free for many hours altogether during winter. In spring time, effects last for 3-4 hours. However, during hot summer months, skin starts feeling greasy within a couple of hours. The smell, though mild, has nothing of lemon in it. I expected it to have a citrusy flavour and quite disappointed therein.

HIMALAYA HERBALS LEMON FACE WASH: PROS

HIMALAYA HERBALS LEMON FACE WASH CONS

  • Effects don’t last long, especially in hot and humid weather when controlling oil secretion is a priority
