The festival of colours is here and its to come together and join in all the merry making.Holi is about playing gulaal, eating desi food and having a good times with friends and family.

To celebrate the spirit of holi, Monkey Bar has come up with a holi special menu which has some of our all time favourite Indian food like chaats,puris and a lot more.

Gather your friends and get into the spirit of Holienjoy endless pitchers of thandai, both the loaded and the ‘non spiked’ version. Indulge in Holi favourite gujiyas and a special ‘desi’ menu comprisingpapdi chaat, khasta matar kachoris, hot bedmi puriswith raseele aloo and more, to keep you up for the revelry of the weekend!

 We city bloggers joined in the holi celebration at monkey bar with some delicious desi food and not to forget the special Spiked Thandai.Holi is incomplete without thandai and monkey bar has come up with their thandai which has both alcoholic and non-alcoholic variants.Next we tried the Ricotta Dahi Bhalla– stuffed with ricotta and walnut and topped with sweetened yogurt and a generous drizzle of tangy imli chutney,Papdi Chaat – crisp papdis topped with chilled sweetened yogurt, boiled potatoes and sprouts, date andtamarind; mint and coriander chutneys sprinkled with masala and sev. If you are a street food lover just like me then the papdi chaat is a must try.Next we tried the Bedmi Puris – a twist to this popular street food, the uraddaalpooris are served with raseelealoo and salli; served with kachumbar and salted chilies.Cocktail Masala Idlis tossed with ghee, gunpowder and curry leaf and served with garlic and coconut chutneys.The idlis are really different and I am sure you will love these.Now of you are hungry and want to have something filling then you must try the Khasta Matar Kachori crispy green pea and spicy soy stuffed kachori served with mango chutney.To end your meal you must try the holi special dessert which is an all time favourite ,gujiyas.Monkey Gujiyas are flaky, sweet dumplings stuffed with cream cheese, almond and cashewnuts, topped with dry cranberry and dusted with cardamom sugar.

This Holi weekend you know where to be for good desi food and Thandaai with your friends and family tapping your feet to good music and enjoying the beautiful view of our beloved city.
