Hair Growth Remedies With Castor Oil Hair Masks

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

Oil does for your hair what water does for plants- oils nourish from within and help your hair grow long and strong. Castor oil, known for its hydrating properties, help moisturize your hair, prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. It is a safe alternative to all those topical applications and over-the-counter medications available. Castor oil is safe and can prove to be extremely effective when used in combination with other potent ingredients.

CASTOR OIL AND COCONUT OIL MIXTURE:

Mix both the oils in equal quantities and apply the blend on your hair and scalp. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for about two hours. Shampoo your hair and wash off properly. This potent oil blend helps treat hair loss while its antimicrobial properties prevent scalp infection. This treatment twice a week ensures healthy growth of hair.

CASTOR OIL-ONION JUICE MASK:

Sulphur contained in onion juice when combined with the goodness of castor oil helps treat scalp problems like dandruff and boosts the elasticity of hair. Mix castor oil and onion juice in equal quantities and blend thoroughly. Apply it on hair and scalp and massage well to improve blood circulation. Leave it on for a couple of hours and then wash off with shampoo and lukewarm water. This hair mask nourishes your scalp and boosts hair growth.

CASTOR OIL-ALOE VERA HAIR MASK:

To unclog hair follicles and revitalize hair, there is no parallel to the mix of aloe vera and castor oil. Mix aloe vera gel, honey and castor oil in equal quantities. Mix well and apply on scalp and hair. Massage for 5 minutes and leave on for one hour. This hair mask is excellent for treating itchiness of scalp too. While honey retains moisture content in your hair strands, aloe vera gel helps maintain PH balance. Do it twice every week to boost hair growth.

CASTOR OIL-GARLIC HAIR MASK

For getting long and strong hair, try castor oil infused with the antifungal and antibacterial properties of garlic. Microwave 3-4 chopped garlic cloves and 3 tbsp castor oil together. Let it cool down and massage it on the scalp. Leave on for about 3 hours. Wash off with shampoo and water. It should be done twice every week for best results.

Castor oil is an amazing ingredient that can be used for promoting luxurious growth of hair. Which of these hair masks do you plan to try out first?
