Soulflower Coldpressed Olive Carrier Oil: Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

If I got hold of something really good this winter, it has to be Soulflower Coldpressed Olive Carrier Oil. A perfect companion for the harsh winter months, Soulflower Coldpressed Olive Carrier Oil is something that has solved most of my beauty problems. Check out my review in this post!

PACKAGING AND TEXTURE– This light-weight, golden yellow coloured olive oil comes in a slender transparent plastic bottle with a black coloured plastic flip-open cap. It has a very mild fragrance that I find pleasant.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH SOULFLOWER COLDPRESSED OLIVE CARRIER OIL

Since I have oily skin and mostly it’s hot and sultry here in Kolkata, I don’t use oil so much. But for the winter months, I do use body oil for keeping my skin soft and hydrated. I decided to buy Soulflower Coldpressed Olive Carrier Oil instead of any commercial body oil because of two reasons- firstly, pure olive oil has multiple benefits and secondly, it has multiple beauty applications.

I Use Soulflower Coldpressed Olive Carrier Oil Mostly In The Following Ways:

  • I massage my skin with this oil post showering and it indeed helps keep my skin moisturized throughout the day. I need not apply body lotions time and again. I know it does stain the clothes sometimes, but frankly I don’t mind so long as I am staying home in my comfy shirt and pyjamas.
  • I apply a few drops on hair to prevent dry and frizzy hair.
  • I was running out of my makeup remover last week. Though I am rather sceptical about putting any kind of oil on my face since my skin is prone to acne and pimples, I still applied it and it worked great as a natural makeup remover! After removing makeup, I quickly washed off my face with a facial cleanser and trust me, it didn’t even break me out. (However, I wouldn’t perhaps do that in summer when face is always so oily and sweaty and greasy.)
  • Since I am a huge fan of essential oils, I love adding a few drops of my either tea tree oil or lemon grass oil or turmeric oil to Soulflower Coldpressed Olive Carrier Oil and use it for beauty applications.
  • Applying this oil on lips and heels regularly prevent chapping and cracking.

SOULFLOWER COLDPRESSED OLIVE CARRIER OIL: CONS

Nothing that I can think of (only that oily skinned beauties cannot use it so extensively in hot and humid summers, which is applicable for all kinds of oil and not just this one!)

SOULFLOWER COLDPRESSED OLIVE CARRIER OIL: FINAL WORD

It is an oil that is part of budget-friendly and effective self care and you must keep it in your stock throughout the year. Rating would be 5 on 5.
