Maybelline Dream Satin Skin B3 Air Whipped Liquid Foundation Review

Over the last one year, whenever I have felt the need of using foundation on my skin, I have used Maybelline Dream Satin Skin B3 Air Whipped Liquid Foundation. It’s available in 6 shades, however, I picked B3-Natural Beige for my wheatish fair skin tone. This review has been due for a really long time. However, it’s better late than never. So, let me not waste time and dive straight into reviewing this budget foundation from the house of Maybelline.

Packaging: Priced at Rs 700 for 30 ml, this foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with pump dispenser that allows you to take the exact amount required without any spillage or wastage.

Texture: The light-weight non-sticky texture and creamy consistency sans greasiness suits my oily skin pretty well. It imparts natural medium coverage with a dewy finish. It helps conceal open pores and slight skin imperfections though it isn’t much effective in hiding ugly and deep acne marks.

My experience: I have oily skin which is why, skin tends to get oily after a few hours. However, it stays well put for about four hours, after which reapplication may be necessary. It offers a smooth appearance to my skin and helps even out my skin tone. It is excellent for daily use and even contains SPF! It imparts a certain level of perfection to the way my skin looks without making it look like a layer of makeup piled up!

  • Contains SPF 24
  • Imparts a natural look and never melts down or looks cakey
  • Pores look smaller
  • Stays well put for about 4 to 5 hours
  • Works well for oily skin but I’m sure it works better for normal skin
  • Skin feels hydrated
  • Affordable price
  • Easy availability

Maybelline Dream Satin Skin B3 Air Whipped Liquid Foundation Cons

  • SPF could have been higher
  • Price slightly high as compared to its effectiveness
  • Doesn’t provide high coverage
  • Doesn’t conceal dark and stubborn skin perfections
  • Tends to make oily skin feel sweaty and somewhat shiny (with oil) after a few hours

Rating: It is recommended if you are looking for a foundation that gives you medium coverage and natural look, especially for regular use. Rating would be 4 out of 5.
