Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream: Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

Of late I have been using a lot of Himalaya Herbals products. In fact, I am quite impressed with their range of body creams and night cream. So, I thought of checking out the Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream for my skin.

I have oily skin, prone to acne, open pores and pimples. However, since the night cream suits me perfectly well, I decided to give this skin cream a try. Priced at only Rs 125 for 100 ml, the cream is so easy on the pocket that one wouldn’t mind trying it out at all!

The white light-weight cream with smooth and thick texture comes in a tub packaging with a green coloured screw cap. Only a coin-size amount is adequate for the face and it’s excellent as a daily massage cream.

However, for my oily skin, the cream seems heavy. It takes time getting absorbed into my skin and then also, it feels somewhat greasy. I do not feel comfortable using the cream for my skin, especially during summers. In winters however, I wouldn’t mind using it. I used it during my trip to Nainital and my skin responded fairly well. Skin felt soft and smooth. But in Kolkata, the hot and humid weather discourages me altogether and trust me, winters are rather short lived in Kolkata.

So, I gave it to my mum because she has dry skin. And it worked for her! In fact, she is quite happy using this skin cream, although it produces no miraculous results. But she loves it as a daily skin cream that helps moisturize her dry skin and makes it look soft and hydrated.

HIMALAYA HERBALS NOURISHING SKIN CREAM: PROS

  • Very affordable
  • Mild and pleasant fragrance
  • Light and soft texture
  • Skin feels moisturized and soft
  • Excellent daily use skin cream, especially for normal to dry skinned beauties

HIMALAYA HERBALS NOURISHING SKIN CREAM: CONS

  • Not very comfortable for oily skin
  • Dry skinned people would find it inadequate during winters
  • I would prefer tube packaging over tub packaging

HIMALAYA HERBALS NOURISHING SKIN CREAM: FINAL WORD

It is a budget skin cream that works well for normal to dry skin. Rating would be 3 out of 5 (for oily skin) and 4 out of 5 (for dry skin)
