Homemade Chilli-Garlic-Pepper Chicken Recipe

Today I am going to share an easy homemade chilli-garlic-pepper chicken recipe that you can enjoy with noodles or fried rice. It is a very simple recipe that involves scanty use of spices and sauces. Salt, pepper and chilli sauce, which are easily available in your kitchen all the time, would work wonders while you cook this appetizing chicken dish! You may like to call it a ‘Chinese’ preparation if you want, but definitely, this is a homemade ‘Indian’ version of the same!


Homemade chilli-garlic-pepper chicken recipe

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Total time required: 50 minutes

List of ingredients

  1. Boneless chicken (cut in tiny pieces)- 500 grams
  2. Garlic (shredded): 4 tablespoons
  3. Green bell pepper/capsicum: 1 (large)
  4. Green chilli (slit): 4
  5. Green chilli sauce: 4 tablespoons
  6. Black pepper powder: 3 tablespoons
  7. Onions- 2 medium sized, roughly chopped
  8. Corn flour: 2 tablespoons
  9. Egg: 1
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Soybean oil/ sunflower oil: 5 tablespoons
  12. Drinking water: 150 ml

 

Instructions

  1. Break open an egg and pour the egg white and the yolk into the bowl of chicken. Add corn flour and a teaspoon of salt. Mix well and marinade for about fifteen minutes.
  2. After fifteen minutes, heat four tablespoons of cooking oil in a kadhai and fry the tiny marinated chicken pieces.
  3. Once the chicken has been fried, put them away from the flame.
  4. In the same kadhai, heat a tablespoon of oil and stir fry the shredded garlic.
  5. Once they turn brownish, add onions. Fry the onions on low flame.
  6. When the onions turn translucent, add green chillies and fried chicken pieces.
  7. Add salt as well as black pepper powder and sauté for about ten minutes on low flame.
  8. Add the long strands of green bell pepper and sauté for another five minutes.
  9. Add chilli sauce and water. Cook for ten minutes.
  10. Turn off the flame as soon as you see that the chicken is soft, there is no excess water content left and the gravy turns thick and dry.

Serve this delicious chilli-garlic-pepper chicken with vegetable fried rice or hakka noodles. You may like to modify the recipe by adding more of slit green chillies and extra pepper if you want it hot! Enjoy this amazing chicken preparation with your loved one!
