Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Oil Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

Tea tree oil is a staple product in my shelf of skin care/hair care products. Since I have oily acne-prone skin and greasy scalp prone of scalp acne and dandruff, tea tree oil is something I bank on heavily for my day-to-day beauty regime. For the past few months, I have been using Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Oil, which I am going to review in this post. Read on!

Priced at Rs 237 for 10 ml, this tea tree oil comes in a thick glass bottle with a white screw cap. To pour out the oil, turn the bottle upside down and drops of tea tree essential oil come out of the small hole on top. The bottle comes in a small white cardboard box with green motifs. Packaging is neat and travel-friendly.

I use tea tree oil quite often in the regular skincare and hair care programme. I love its invigorating aroma too! Here is how I use it:

  • I add a drop or 2 to my face wash. I love the fresh feeling it imparts to my face after washing my face.
  • Often, I take 3 tablespoons of rose water and add 8-10 drops of tea tree oil to it. I dab this solution on scalp and massage for a minute or two. I wait for an hour or so and shampoo my hair. This practise helps to reduce itchiness of scalp and also, helps to bring about a reduction in dandruff.
  • I add a few drops to olive oil and use it as my body oil.
  • At times, I add it to my face cream/ night cream and massage it on my face. The effectiveness of these creams is significantly increased. Skin feels taut with less visible pores.
  • Using tea tree oil on face by mixing a drop or 2 to skin toner, cream or lotion has helped reduce acne. It helps control oil secretion.

Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Oil Cons

  • Availability could be an issue. I haven’t come across tea tree oil of this brand in local stores. It is available online.
  • It is difficult to reach out to the last dregs of the oil and has to be shaken vehemently to pour out the last few drops

Final Word

An excellent oil for all tea tree lovers, you surely deserve to try out the Aroma Treasures Tea Tree Oil. Rating would be 4.5 out of 5.

P.S. It is advised that you practise caution while using essential oil if you are pregnant, breastfeeding your baby or affected with health issues that restrict the use of essential oils.
