This multi-tasking night serum is a synergistic blend of treasured Indian herbs to nourish and restore a natural glow and youthfulness to tired, ageing and pigmented skin. Plant polyphenols, carotenoids and flavonoids present in these precious botanicals prevent and reverse free-radical and DNA damage and block the inflammatory changes that result during the skin ageing process.

Gotukola and Indian Ginseng are considered Sattvik (most pure, closest to nature) and Varnya Dravyas(colour and complexion promoters) in ancient Ayurvedic texts and are known to make skin youthful.

Gotukola (Chinese name meaning fountain of youth) or Brahmi aka Brahma-Manduki (Ayurvedic names used in India) has been the centerpiece of plant based medical systems across the world for thousands of years. It is listed among the miracle elixirs of life and according to a legend; this herb helped a famous sage live past 200.

Indian Ginseng or Ashwagandha in this fast-absorbing, light-textured skin potion is a potent antioxidant and immunomodulator with anti-inflammatory properties. In synergy with other plant nutrients it helps boost collagen-synthesis, cell renewal & tissue repair thus diminishing fine lines, spots and signs of photo-ageing.

Cold pressed oils of Rosehips, Wheatgerm, Safflower and Moringa seeds are natural sources of Vitamins C, E and A while extracts of Indian Senna are a botanical alternative to Hyaluronic Acid ( for fine-line filling and intense moisturisation).

Liquorice Root and Nagkesar form a perfect harmony adding lightening, brightening and skin nourishing properties to this serum.

Use a few drops at bed time or add it to your Just Herbs creams or gels to boost their effect.

Packaging:

The product comes in a tiny tinted glass bottle (brown colour) that has a screw cap with a dropper attached. The green box in which this bottle comes is coloured green, quite in keeping with its herbal nature. Though the product should ideally be taken out using the dropper, the latter doesn’t work properly. So, it is best poured onto the palm directly.

My experience with Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum With Gotukola Indian Ginseng

I have been using this ‘miraculous liquid’ as my ‘multi-tasking night serum’ for the last one month. After cleansing my face, I take about 5-6 drops of this serum and massage it on my face using gentle circular motions. It gets absorbed in a minute and gives a smooth non-greasy feel, leaves no sign apparently whatsoever as far as its application is concerned. Since I have oily skin, I love the way it gets absorbed in no time at all, leaving behind a non-oily feeling. Over the past one month, I have seen a few positive changes in my skin (in this context, I must mention that my oily skin behaves in a better way during the winter months). Skin feels tight, smooth and subtly glowing. Breakouts are rare now and the acne marks have started fading to a good extent. Open pores are less visible too!

What I Like About Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum With Gotukola Indian Ginseng

  • The liquid is non-sticky in nature and gets readily absorbed into the skin
  • Suits my oily skin really well and leaves no oil or grease on the surface. On the contrary, skin feels fresh and smooth. It imparts a matte-finish.
  • It imparts a subtle glow and evenness to skin.
  • This light-weight formula never gets heavy on my skin.
  • It has helped in preventing occasional breakouts and tackled my blemish problem to a good extent.
  • Contains natural ingredients that nourish the skin thoroughly.

What I Don’t Like About Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum With Gotukola Indian Ginseng

  • It is pricey.
  • Packaging could have been better. A plain nozzle, a Q-tip or a plain pump dispenser packaging would be so much more simple and non-messy affair.
  • It smells like a concoction of milk and honey or let’s say, something like bread soaked in milk. You may not like it so much.
  • If you have dry skin, you might have to use a cream to moisturise your skin.

Final Verdict

It is an amazing product for regular skin care. Highly recommended! Rating would be 4.5 out of 5.
