Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub: Review

BY SOMREETA MUKHERJEE

I love to pamper my feet with foot scrubs and foot creams so that they know no dryness and peeling. I detest it when my feet look under-nourished and dehydrated. Recently I laid my hands on the Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub. Today I am going to share my experience with this scrub. Keep reading!

WHAT DOES IT CLAIM?

TRIDOSHA – A natural purifying formula to soften, smoothen and revitalize feet. Lime Peel, Dark Grape and Volcanic Minerals help remove rough patches and hard skin, lightening discolorations. Peppermint & Lemongrass essential oils cool and refresh feet, controlling foot odour. Margosa and virgin coconut nourish, soothe and relax for total foot comfort.

TEXTURE AND PACKAGING

This cream based scrub with yellow and brown micro granules is white in colour. Its thick consistency and soft texture spreads easily on wet skin. It comes in a bright green coloured sturdy plastic tub with a black screw cap. I had to tear the seal open before I could dig my fingers into its creamy texture. It has a strong minty smell (I was reminded of mint flavoured toothpaste when I smelt it for the first time).

MY EXPERIENCE WITH SPA CEYLON GREEN MINT COOLING FOOT SCRUB

While a homemade pedicure session with a tub, lukewarm water, soaking in the goodness of essential oils, application of this mint scrub liberally on feet and then a massage would surely work wonders, my lazy self generally uses this scrub once a week while I go for a shower. Let me share my experience with this scrub.

I scoop out the required amount from the tub and apply it liberally on my wet feet. Its creamy texture spreads evenly and imparts a cooling sensation. While the minty fragrance overpowers my senses, there is a distinct smell of essential oils too. I start rubbing it gently in circular motions for about 4-5 minutes, concentrating particularly on the thick skin on the toe, heels and around the nails. The fine particles help get rid of impurities and dead skin effectively. Somehow, I am reminded of the fine sands scrubbing my naked feet clean during my holidays in the beach. I apply some good quality foot cream post application and it is readily absorbed, thereby imparting soft and smooth feet.
