“A Little Christmas” At The Kenilworth Hotel,Kolkata

Christmas to me is gifts,Santa Claus, warm socks, trench coats ,midnight mass,Cakes and of course good food.

This year it was even more special because i celebrated my Christmas eve at Kenilworth hotel having the perfect traditional Christmas dinner.

The Kenilworth hotel in association with Chef Shaun Kenworthy arranged a christmas pop up called “A little Christmas”The main idea was to bring out traditional Christmas food to the city of joy.

The kenilworth hotel is one of the oldest hotels of Kolkata and every corner of this place has that vintage,European charm. The pop up was arranged at The Marble Room which was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

We took our table and just when we were utterly confused about what to try and what not to Mr Raju Bharat,Director,Kenilworth Hotel came to our rescue. He joined us and narrated us the actual motive behind the christmas pop up and also helped us choose the most delicious dishes from the menu.

According to Mr Bharat Kolkata is known for its christmas celebration, but there was a vacuum in proper christmas food.So he along with Chef Shaun decided to offer kolkata a christmas special pop up.He also said that they are planning on more pop ups in association with other eminent chefs of the city (Happy-Dance).And the upcoming pop ups are going to be bigger and better. (We are looking forward to it )

The christmas pop up menu consisted of some authentic christmas dishes,We tried out slow cooked chicken croquettes,Smoked salmon,Pan seared chicken breast and for desserts we chose  chocolate and hazelnut pot. Each and every dish we tried was just perfect and the dessert was to die for.A perfect Christmas eve dinner.

It was very difficult to resist the food but we still managed to click some pictures for you all before gulping it down.
