1. Home Alone 1: Home Alone starring Macaulay Culkin has to be the most loved Christmas comedy movie of all times. I absolutely love this movie.  It is a movie about a little boy who is mistakenly left behind during the christmas trip when his family flies to Paris and how he overcomes his fears and tricks two would-be burglars played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. It is the highest grossing live action-comedy movie of all times in the US.

2. Polar Express: Animated movies has always fascinated me since childhood and continues till date. And our Christmas would be incomplete without adding this Disney animated flick on this list. Polar Express is based on a novel of the same title which was written by Chris Van Allsburg. This movie is a story about a small boy who embarks on a whimsical journey to the North Pole on a train called Polar Express. During his adventure, he learns about friendship, bravery and the spirit of Christmas.

3. The night before Christmas: The night before christmas was directed by Tim Burton who is widely known for his quirky dark, gothic and fantasy horror movies.   This movie is about Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, discovers Christmas Town, but doesn’t quite understand the concept. It is one of those movies that is spooky yet hilarious at the same time. I would totally recommend this flick as I personally love it.

4. Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Jim Carrey is hysterical as the Grinch in this 2000 comedy flick. It is based on the 1957 story of the same name by Dr. Seuss. It was the first Dr. Seuss book to be adapted into a full-length feature film. The story is about a green coloured creature hated by the town folks and is intent on stealing Christmas. A must watch and a much deserved addition on the top list.

5. The Santa Clause: The Santa Clause starring TimAllen is a story about an ordinary man who must step into Santa’s shoes after an accident. A trip to the North Pole follows, along with various comic scenarios as he physically morphs into Santa in front of his disbelieving ex-wife. This flick is a perfect festive comedy that is sure to tickle your funny bone.

Now Go! Grab some popcorn, get cozy and happy viewing!
