Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum~ Review

I’m not a big fan of musky scent when it comes to fragrances for women. I have quite a good number of sweet and bubbly smelling perfumes that totally suits my personality. Recently, I’d received a different perfume as a gift from the house of Gucci and yes, today I shall be reviewing about the product which is the Gucci Guilty Intense EDP. Curious to know? Let’s jump right into it then.

Product Description:

Made for the woman who shatters expectations, this fragrance imbues with a feeling of power, a sense that she can attain whatever she wants—even the thrill of the forbidden. A sheer, floral-oriental fragrance, it opens with a bright burst of citrus and a dangerous hint of black pepper. This arresting introduction gives way to full-throttle femininity as its heart pulses with fruity and floral notes. The fragrance dries down to a rich, ambery base with notes of patchouli. The overall effect is young, stylish, and eminently wearable—a daring edge of sexiness and sensuality that captures the essence of Gucci..

Gucci Guilty contains the notes of mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber and patchouli.

Available as 30, 50 and 75 ml EDT.

Price: US 77$ ( 50 ml )

My take on the Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum:

Oh My! Can we all take a few moments to admire the packaging? Gucci is a high-end brand and the packaging does speak for itself. The stunning bottle fuses glass and metal, a feature revealed through Gucci’s signature interlocking “G” characters. At the center of the iconic logo’s letterforms, the bottle’s gleaming metallic surface is elegantly cut away to expose the bottle’s glass interior. It has a gold cap that shuts lock hence making it spill proof. So classy! The liquid is golden in color like how perfumes usually are. There are travel-sized bottle available apart from the 50ml and the 75 ml as well. I own the 50 ml bottle.

Like I said earlier, I usually like sweet smelling scents but this one really caught my attention with the woody fragrance. Guilty has a spicy pepper and amber notes with a touch of mandarin that kicks after a while. There is a slight scent of vanilla notes too as it tend to fade away. I would be wearing such a scent for formal occasion or a classy night out. It has a sexy and mature yet innocence feel about it but by any means, it doesn’t have the old lady scent. *lol*

The only downfall about this product has to be the longevity. It stays for 4 to 5 hours on me, which is a major con when it comes with such a steep price tag. I was expecting it to last for more than 6 to 7 hours.

Tip: Rub Vaseline or some unscented lotion on your pulse point before spraying the perfume to make the scent last longer
