Chambor Extreme Matte Long Wear Lipcolour~ 01 Burnt Rose~ Review and swatch

Chambor has been one of my all time favorite drugstore brand for makeup. I’m so in love with their line of lipsticks ranging from regular to the super mattes. And having said that, today I shall be reviewing a matte lip color from Chambor, off course, and it is the Extreme Matte Long Wear Lipcolour in the shade 01 Burnt Rose.

Product Description:

Extremely soft & creamy texture gives a velvety matt finish. Hydrating lightweight formula with rich pigments does not dry out lips. Super long wear, waterproof. There are eight shades available.

How to use: Use for lining, all-over lip color, or pairing with another lip product.

Price: INR 845 (2.6g)

My take on the Chamber Extreme Matte Long Wear Lipcolour 01 Burst Rose: This cutie comes as a chubby pencil stick with a transparent lid. The logo and the shade name have been mentioned on the pencil. It is color coded hence easy to spot if you have an overflowing vanity. It is not a mechanical pencil hence it needs to be sharpened using a sharpener leading to product wastage.

Color: 01 Burst Rose is a medium mauve-pink with millions of minute shimmers. Thankfully, the glitters are not chunky. I usually don’t like lip color that has any kind of shine and shimmers to it. It is a blue-based pink so it will wash out v dusky or yellow undertone lovelies. I would recommend using a darker lip liner if you want to pull off this color. It can be an MLBB color for a lot of beauties out there looking for such shade.

Texture: Extremely soft that glides over my lips with absolutely no tugging. Matte lipsticks usually tug and pull and tend to dry out my lips but I had no issue with this baby, as the formula is satiny smooth without having to use a lip balm prior application. It feels very light on the lips as well.

Scent: It has a faint crayon-ish scent.

Pigmentation: 10 on 10 on the pigmentation department yet again!  Chambor is known for their BANG ON pigments and this chubby stick did prove it right once again. It goes opaque in just a single swipe.  Need I say more?

Staying power: It last for 4 to 5 hours on me. It does tend to fade away with light snacking and drinks so a reapplication is required. I am certainly not impressed by the staying power of this lip color. Chambor claimed it to be waterproof but it didn’t live upto the expectation. Other colors from these range might vary. The other con about this product is that it leaves behind specks of glitters after the color fades away.

Sorry, no lip swatch this time due to winter dryness!

Pretty pink color

Opaque coverage in a single swipe

Smooth texture

Doesn’t budge easily

No heaviness

Glides without pulling

No tugging

Soft to touch

Recommendation: Apart from the pretty color, texture and pigmentation, the turnoffs about this product for me was the shimmers and the staying power.  If you are someone who love glitter lipstick, you can give it a go.

Really liked the shade. It’s subtle and perfect for everyday use. I might skip this for the shimmers. Overall, good review
