M.A.C Eye Shadow Velvet Pearl Stars “N” Rockets~ Review and swatches

Hey pretties,

Today I would be sharing a review on a fun eye shadow color that I own and it is the M.A.C Eye Shadow Velvet Pearl in the shade Stars “N” Rockets. To see how it fare, let’s jump right into it!

Product Description: Highly pigmented powder. Applies evenly, blends well. Can be used wet or dry. It is available in a wide variety of textures and finishes.

Price: 16$ (1.5 g / 0.05 US oz)

My take on M.A.C Eye Shadow Velvet Pearl Stars “N” Rockets:It has the usual M.A.C eye shadow packaging. A tiny circular tub with a flip top, which has the MAC logo printed on it. A sticker is labeled at the bottom with the name on it.

Color: Stars “N” Rockets is a cool toned, duo chrome shade of light pink and purple with iridescent blue/violet shimmer. It has been compared to the Urban Decay eye shadow in the color Fishnet that is a tad darker. It can be worn during day and night time as well. Because of the blue undertone, it might wash out beauties with very dark skin tones. A lot of people might shy away from this fun shade but I totally love it.

Texture: The formula is exactly as described. A velvety pearl finish that can be blended effortlessly and glides like a dream. There are no fallouts, which I like, but it does require more than a single swipe for an opaque look. It is safe for contact lens wearer.

Pigmentation: This shadow is well pigmented. It goes completely opaque in two swipes. A single swipe is ideal for daywear. It looks amazing when worn on its own and also with other deeper shades. This shadow can be used wet as well as dry.

Staying power: It stays for 5 to 6 hours with primer since I have oily eyelids. It may last longer depending on the skin type. A primer is recommended for girls who suffer from oily skin.
