L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder in shade-”G2 Golden Ivory”- Review and Swatch.

Hello Everyone,

Today it’s time for newly launched product by L’Oreal Paris; the sudden launch of Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder intrigued me because of the packaging. Nowadays all drugstore powder names are comparably same; I suppose this is the L’Oreal version of dream matte powder from Maybelline but with more girly way  😉

Look at the beautiful cute pink round compact packaging of the product- yes the reason why I picked this product has 2 reasons- First the packaging and 2nd the price!

Price: 399 INR for 6gm of product.

L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique All-In-One Pressed Powder infused with volcanic perlite, a natural yet powerful sebum absorbant. Sounds great isn’t it? My skin acts weird in different weather, in summer I am combination while during winter I am super dry and dehydrated. Anyways, as per claims it does control oils/sebum for 2-3 hours max. 12 hours stay fresh all day matte is something company always exaggerate for capturing market and customers.  However I am not happy with the texture of the powder, it is very dry and rough alike other pressed powders it does not has silky smooth finish to it.

Magic Results Claimed by brand:

  1. PRIMES: “Pore less skin perfection that lasts, 12hr shine-free.

-Instead the powder happens to sit on pores and make them more obvious.12 hr shine-free is a bummer. 😡

  1. PERFECTS: “Covers pores and minimizes appearance of all blemishes and skin imperfections”

-Doesn’t cover pores or minimizes the appearances of blemishes and skin imperfections. The coverage is very light almost sheer and due to dry texture it doesn’t blends into skin  properly and therefore sits on pores making them more visible.   😥

  1. BRIGHTENS: “Impeccable instant fairness, complexion enjoys a just –out of shower fresh finish and sensation”.   – Yes, it does make skin look fresh, almost like any other press powders in the market yet after 2 hours in scorching sun the powder tends to oxidize on me, plus I picked the wrong shade (darker) and thus, it make me look dull and lifeless.

It does nothing for sweat control, I hate the texture of the product, the time I swatches the product I knew this will be either hit or miss for me. Good thing is it has SPF 34 PA+++ which is great for day use. L’Oreal indeed made the packaging beautiful and girly in cute pink colour; it also includes a round mirror and round sponge underneath the powder.065

[…] Priced at Rs 399 for 6 g, this compact powder for combination and oily skin stays put for around 3 hours if weather is hot and sultry. Texture is light and nice for daily wear. However, its claims are somewhat exaggerated and blending power could have been better. Read the review here. […]
