Almay intense i-color 414 bold nudes’ trio for greens: – Review and Swatches.

Almay Intense-I-colour “Bold Nude” eye shadow trio has been my old favorite, although Almay is not available anywhere in India, this has been sent to me by one of my sister all the way from Singapore. First I was disheartened as I wasn’t very fond of eye shadows or eye makeup but then I came across the versatility of the palette. Nude shades are always versatile and coordinated; therefore I started using the brown shade (middle) as my eye brow powder and the soft shimmery beige (last) shade as overall highlighting purposes  😉

What Company Claims: Inject a fun pop of expertly coordinated colour into your classic nude eye look and all eyes will be on your one-of-a-kind baby blues, smoldering browns, honeyed hazels, or exotic greens. Just choose the silky powder shadow trio that’s designed to intensify your unique eye colour… you’re on the way to a multi-dimensional nude eye look that perfectly enhances, never bores.

  • Hypoallergenic Ophthalmologist tested.

First the packaging looks really pretty; it shows you how to apply the shades to get the end result which makes things simple.  I love the packaging, the design looks almost like “shape of an eye”.  😀

The texture of the shadows are pretty smooth and silky. The top shade i.e. Army Green is the smoothest among all three. Rest two shades are bit chalky and has slight fallout.

Army green (satin matte) – Pigmentation is sheer-to medium, need to apply way too many layers to show up on skin, – No fallout but disappointing 🙁 I don’t think green suits everyone and it does not work for me at all.

Greyish purple brown (satin matte) – Pigmentation is medium to buildable, require less, show up on skin pretty well. Has slight fall out. The shade has cool undertone to it and hence I often use this to fill my eyebrows and on crease areas. It can also be used for soft Smokey eye, cut crease or dark accent etc..! Yaaayyyy  😀

Light ivory beige (Pearl Finish) – Pigmentation is medium-to buildable, It is mainly a cool tone highlighting shade, require less, visible on skin and has slight fall out too.

Rating: 3/5

Overall this is a decent eye shadow trio, with more cons and less pros I’m definitely disappointed with the product b’coz of the pigmentation certainly won’t be buying eye shadows from Almay again.  😥
