I’m a sucker for matte lippies and love collecting them in all kinds of form. So, on today’s post, I’ll be sharing one such product with our Gupshupian matte lovers like me and it is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Addis Ababa. So, let’s get into the post. Shall we?

My take on NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ~ Addis Ababa:

This soft matte lip cream comes sealed in a cylindrical tube which would be easily confused with a lip-gloss tube. It has a doe foot brush that is easy during application. The color-coded packaging is lightweight and very convenient for me to spot the shade in my stash, as I own a couple of these lippies.

Color: Addis Ababa is a fuchsia pink shade with a slight blue undertone. I have warm skin so any lippy with blue tone doesn’t work on me but Addis Ababa did well on me and brighten up my face in an instant. I love the vivid, fun color as it screams SPRINGTIME! It is my go to and one of the best matte lippy so far.

Addis Ababa 2

Texture: Lightweight and is extremely comfortable to wear. It has a fluffy mousse like consistency that turns matte after application but doesn’t dry out my lips usually how matte lippies work. It applies very smoothly over my lips with no tugging whatsoever. The formula is awesome and doesn’t settle on fine lines. I’m totally hooked to it!

Pigmentation: Awesome pigmentation! One swipe does the job as seen on the swatches below but you can play around with the saturation as desired.

Staying power: Stays in place for 5 to 6 hours with slight snacking in between. I didn’t even need to reapply. But yes, it won’t survive heavy meals.

[…] Color: San Paulo is a fiery coral with reddish tones to it. It is slightly neon and bright in color but is wearable because of the warm undertones. It would suit all kinds of Indian skin tones and would look great on dark skin girls as well. This shade is my go to lippy just as is Addis Ababa that I’d reviewed on my earlier post.
