Aroma Treasures Lemon Pure Essential Oil: Review

Lemon oil is an essential oil that is extracted by cold-pressing the peels of lemon. This citrusy oil with refreshing aroma is known for various benefits, some of which are cleansing, purification, improving skin texture, promoting hair health, relieving nausea, bettering oral health and relieving cough. As far as beauty benefits are concerned, lemon oil is particularly effective on oily, acne-prone skin and oily scalp. Since I have oily skin, I decided to invest in lemon essential oil so that I could incorporate it in my homemade skin and hair treatments. Today, I am going to review Aroma Treasures Lemon Pure Essential Oil that I have been using quite frequently for the last 2 months.

PRODUCT BEING REVIEWED– Aroma Treasures Lemon Pure Essential Oil

PRICE: Rs 150 for 10 ml

SHELF LIFE: 3 years

PACKAGING: This essential oil comes in a small glass bottle with a cap that can be screwed tightly. To pour the oil out, tilt the bottle upside down and the oil drips down, drop by drop so that there is no wastage.

It is very important to dilute the oil before using it. It is best diluted in carrier oils like coconut oil or olive oil. Direct application of this oil on skin should be avoided.

  • Every day, when I take a bath early in the morning, I add 6-7 drops of lemon essential oil to my bucket of water. The fresh, revitalizing aroma of this oil uplifts my senses and helps to energize me. After the lemon aromatic bath, I am ready for the day!
  • Often, I add a drop of lemon oil to my face wash while I cleanse my face. Skin feels squeaky clean.
  • I like treating my skin with a simple cleansing mask of honey and lemon oil. I add 2 drops of lemon oil to a tablespoon of honey. I apply the mixture on my face and skin feels hydrated and rejuvenated.
  • I prepare homemade toner for my oily skin by adding a drop of lemon oil to a teaspoon of rosewater. I think it works better than any of those readymade packaged toners available in cosmetic shops.
  • I add 2-3 drops of lemon oil to a tablespoon of coconut oil for a quick homemade hair treatment.
  • At times, I add a drop of lemon oil in my face cream before application.
  • For a refreshing hair rinse, I add 4-5 drops of lemon oil to a mug of water and use it as the last rinse after shampooing my hair. I love to use hair rinse instead of conditioners. Hair feels invigorated and I love the fresh citrusy lemony smell it imparts to my hair post-shower.
  • Pouring a few drops of lemon oil in the kitchen sink helps keep stench away.

  • The citrusy aroma is very pleasant. It is strongly refreshing and uplifting.
  • It is available at an affordable price of Rs 150 for 10 ml.
  • The packaging is neat.
  • It can be used in a variety of homemade treatments.

  • It may not be easily available in local stores (I bought it online)
  • Lemon oil is known to promote good health when a drop or 2 is consumed with water or tea. However, Aroma Treasures lemon oil is ‘for external use only’.
