Bourjois Paris Happy Light Foundation- Review and Swatches.

Hello my beautiful readers 😀

Bourjois Paris is definitely one of the best drugstore brand in market…They make quality product within affordable price, not that they are cheaper but cheaper than other drugstores. I was walking by the counter and saw happy light foundation, and politely asked the SA regarding the formula and she happily explained me along with application… I wasn’t sold completely at once but after few mints later when I saw my face it was looking glowy without being oily. The silky smooth watery texture is exactly what I wanted for my skin… I immediately brought it and today I am here to put my overview on this product. OH, BDW I am in the shade- 52.

What Company Claims: Its velvety formula blends effortlessly for a luminous, undetectable and natural finish. It contains translucent pigments to enhance your inner glow and correct imperfections without masking. And, what’s more, it lets skin breathe thanks to its lightweight feel and moisturising ingredients .Available in 5 flawless shades.

Price: 1485 INR for 30ml (The price is too much for a drugstore foundation but I got it at 20% discount during sale) 😀

The packaging comes in a heavy glass bottle of 30ml with a pump which is great to dispense product. The formula is very thin almost runny and has a light weight airy texture. The foundation really lived up to the claims, I saw everyone raving out the product and that’s how I decided to give it a shot. Technically this is my first ever liquid foundation that I tried from drugstore. I love MAC face and body but sadly it broke me after couples of application 🙁 :'(

Bourjois Paris Happy Light Foundation reminds me of L’Oreal nude magic foundation, it has same kind of light weight smooth silky finish on skin. I have combination skin and I was surprised to find my skin doesn’t turn into an oil slick after a long day of wearing this.  The foundation blends into skin perfectly and set as demi- matte finish, However it gives a natural light weight- airy finish to skin without looking cakey no matter how many times you layer on. .

The foundation has technological translucent pigment colours- blue, red and green that covers all kind of dullness and discolorations. However the coverage is so light almost nothing on skin which is why it is impossible to comment on colour correction claim. Yes, it definitely covers redness and somewhat make skin look flawless without being cakey and once set with powder it does looks glowy without being oily.

The only 2 drawback is the lasting power and shade availability.

The lasting power is not too great- 4-5 hours in humid climate. And only 4-5 shade is available in the market but the main issue is all of them has pink undertone to them. The only savior is because these are light in coverage it blends into skin like nothing!
