Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer Lipstick Review & Full Swatches

Hey Folks,

How was your week and any special plans for the weekend??While mine was nothing exciting.Exams at college,so i was buried in big fat books of medicine and surgery. Cry

I was planning to share with you all my thoughts about the clinique pop lip colour + primer. The very fact lip colour + primer caught my fancy, though i think the primer thing is little gimmicky..Clinique recently launched this range in collaboration with Masaba Gupta,a leading designer in India and one of my favourites too.So i was super excited.Initially when i heard about the collab i thought may be she had a hand in the shades like the MAC vital glam and Toledo collections. But later i found out that the actual thing is if you shop products from clinique worth Rs 5000 which should include a colour pop lipstick then you would get a Masaba Gupta designed makeup pouch all to yourself.(Happy-dance).The pouch looks super cute with candys printed on it.

MY TAKE ON CLINIQUE POP LIP COLOUR+PRIMER:
I tried on a couple of shades and the texture is pretty good.It is very creamy and glides on smoothly. It settles into a demi-matte finish after sometime.

The packaging is simple yet cute.
The variety of shades is also pretty good. They have various shades for you to chose from nudes to bright pinks and reds to add a pop of colour to your lips.
Now,coming to pigmentation.I personally feel that it could have been little better. You would need 2 to 3 swipes for that perfect colour. But considering it has  shea butter and murmuru butter i can make a compromise. It does keep my lips moisturised and does not dry out my lips.
The colour plum pop is a lovely plummy pink perfect for everyday use,and it looks beautiful on Indian and olive skin tones.
It stayed on my lips for about 4 hours and then faded with meals.
Overall,i like it quite a lot.It does make my lip feel super comfortable.I have my eyes on Poppy Pop an Cola Pop.Planning to try them out as well.
