REVLON NEARLY NAKED MAKEUP with SPF 20: review and Swatches.

I brought this Foundation from ulta beauty (obviously through a dealer) after seeing everyone comparing it to Urban Decay Naked skin foundation. Ecstatic isn’t it?? 😀 Revlon has recently launched this foundation here in India.(yippeee), I am not sure how soon they will but this is definitely a beautiful foundation for those who have normal to combination skin type.

What Company Claims:

The ultimate lightweight makeup. Formulated with weightless pigments, this refreshingly light formula melts right in, creating a fresh, even complexion. Works in harmony with your skin to cover flaws and perfect tone and texture.

16 different shades available.

But in India only 3 shades are available at the moment

How to Use-

Apply to cleansed skin. Using your fingertips or applicator, blend foundation onto skin, starting in the center of your face, forehead, nose and chin blending outward.

The first thing intrigued me was the word “Naked”. Revlon’s breakthrough nearly naked makeup balances skin and makeup so they work in perfect harmony. With buildable coverage and seamless blending, you are sure to cover flaws and perfect your skin’s tone and texture. No heavy cakey or greasy mess. The texture is slightly thicker but smooth, extremely blendable; I never had any issue with applications, no matter what I use. I tried using my fingers, a buffing brush, makeup sponges it gives flawless finish with zero streaking. The oil free- light weight formula gives light to buildable coverage. It perfectly covers any minor scars or redness but for major issues this won’t work at all. The foundation gives a healthy glow without making shiny or cakey. I never used UD Naked foundation but those who used has happily discovered something similar but in less price.

147 149Ingredients like ceramide, Oatmeal, Jojoba oil, green tea etc helps in maintaining skin’s natural glow that looks picture perfect while SPF 20 protects from further damage. Although Titanium Dioxide is listed in ingredients but the foundation has no flashback effect. The best part is – The light weight blendable formula almost feels and looks nothing on skin. It feels as if you’re not wearing any makeup. I tested Nars foundations, MAC foundations, Bourjois too but this one is the best so far in terms of blendability. I adore the results it provide, it gives flawless skin with undetectable coverage almost like my own skin but better. Coming to lasting power it is decent, it last on me for 4-5 hours during hot summers which is so obvious because sweat and heat make it worst no matter what you use. However I used this lot during winters and it lasted on me 6-7 hours with no powder on. It tends to transfer as well if not set with powder therefore I generally don’t skip this step. Enough of ranting now the actual bummer is the lousy packaging. **Glass bottle with white plastic cap without any pump. The wide open glass bottle dispense product more than what you need, it’s kind of pain while dispensing the products.

P.S- I generally shake the bottle before use and apply small dots all over **mah face before buffing in.

What I like about REVLON NEARLY NAKED MAKEUP with SPF 20:

  • Light weight, oil-free formula.
  • Gives seamless blending, no streaking at all.
  • Provide shine free healthy looking glow.
  • Has light to buildable coverage.
  • Covers minor spots and redness, those who love hard core full coverage foundation this is certainly not for you.
  • Gives smooth, flawless skin with undetectable coverage.
  • Has SPF20 but gives no flash back.
  • Ingredients like ceramide, Oatmeal, Jojoba oil, green tea etc helps in maintaining skin’s natural glow
  • The light weight blendable formula almost feels and looks nothing on skin.
  • Last for 4-7 hours depending on climate. Generally everything melts from my face during summers but I enjoyed using this lot in winters.
  • For oily skin ladies, dusting powders is suggested at least on T-zone areas.
  • I am in love with the flawless -blendability of this foundation. It makes my skin looks my skin almost nothing on. <3 It.

What I don’t like about REVLON NEARLY NAKED MAKEUP with SPF 20:

  • The packaging sucks. Don’t know why Revlon don’t understand how important a pump is while dispensing liquid foundation.
  • Only 3 shades available in India.
  • suits all skin types but best for Normal to combination skin**

Rating: 4.3/5

I love this foundation so much, don’t know what I will do if I run out of it. Generally I never rely on liquid foundation unless it is winters. I always love using BB creams for their light weight consistency and no makeup-makeup look. REVLON NEARLY NAKED MAKEUP is exactly the same I wanted. I absolutely detest this kind of packaging where the actual product is pretty good. It doesn’t look shiny mess or cakey shit no matter how many layers you apply. Only one suggestion- Revlon must fixed the damn lousy packaging!
